Process for Change/ Update Address and Other Details

• This application form must be completed to be the initial applicant. Attach the proof of such a change in address or other details.
• If the applicant does not have proof of a change of address, the applicant can sign the form to the following people
  • Gazetted Officer - Group A
  • Village Panchayat Head, or Mukhiya
  • Gazetted Officer - Group B
  • MP/ MLA/ MLC/ Muncipal Councilor
  • Tehsildar
  • Head of Recognized Education Institution
  • Superintendent/ Warden/ Matron/ Head Institution
  • Recognized shelter homes/Orphanages
  • Officer EPFO
• Then , you must visit the closest Aadhaar Center along with this template to apply for the change of address, and you may also apply online to change the address in Aadhaar Number using this link - Address Change Link

UIDAI permits people with Aadhaar cardsto change their address without needing documentation. Aadhaar cardholders were allowed to change their addresseven if they did not provide documents proving their identity.

New Delhi: The Unique Identification Authority of India has temporarily stopped an important feature which allows you to alter your Aadhaar card's address without certificate of address.

UIDAI permits people with Aadhaar cards to change their address, without any form of documentation. Aadhaar cardholders are able to change their address only if they accept the authenticity for the verification of address. An address verifier can be a close friend, relative, landlord or family member who will allow the Aadhaar card owner to utilize their address for proof.

UIDAI is now stopping this facility. UIDAI addressed an Aadhaar Card user by tweeting the option to update address on the Aadhaar Card by submitting an Address Validation Letter has been halted. UIDAI has asked for the Aadhaar issuer to advise users that they have the option to update their address using a accepted PoA document.

UIDAI has listed the following documents among the POA documents (Proof Of Address) documents that include the name and address for Aadhaar cards

Statement/Passbook for Post Office Accounts

Driving licence

Water Bill (not more than 3 months)

Telephone Landline Bill (not older that 3 months)

Credit Card Statement (not more than 3 years old).

Letter signed by the recipient with a photo of registered company on letterhead

Pensioner Card

Freedom Fighter Card

Kissan Passbook

Passport of Spouse

Passport of parents (in instance of minors)

Central/ State Govt. Initiated an allotment for accommodation. (Not longer than three years)

Bhamashah card/Jan Aadhaar issued by Governmentt. Rajasthan

Certificate from the Superintendent/ Warden/ Matron/ Head Of Institution of a shelter that is recognized orphanages. on UIDAI standard certificate format for enrolment/ update
